Wegmans Market Cafe in Downingtown

I love Wegmans, from their Russian bagels to their wide selection of organic, gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options. Sometimes, I'll admit, I window shop but I never leave without buying something. Kudos to all the staff too, always very helpful and sincere. Many blessings to you!

Best grocery store ever. Except for their sausage

Store was clean and well stocked.

For many years Wegmans was the preferred place for me to get groceries. I was using Wegmans for about 80% and Giant Food for about 20%. Now it is about 50% each and trending towards Giant. The quality of Wegmans fresh produce and fruit is Not even close to the level of high sold at Giant. Nothing like bitting into an Apple and its soft and brown. This happens frequently when I purchase Wegmans fruit. Now about 90% of my fruit and produce is purchased from Giant Food. Wegmans is frequently out of stock on some common items. The checkout lines are always long and if I shop around 7AM on weekends, it’s one register open with about 8 or more carts at checkout.

I am not usually that person who gives reviews and I hate giving one star as a review rating, but I just got sushi from the store, and as I am eating it, the rolls just fall apart. I don't like avocado so I always get the person behind the counter to make mine. There are several people who make it just right, but there is one person who always have an attitude about making them for me. I always ask nicely, but she seems to not want to do it. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I wish I know her name, because I would post it. The overall eatery gets 5 stars, but the sushi area gets one star.

I have been going to this Wegmans since it opened and it’s been my #1 for shopping for many years. I won’t stop going here no matter what but I will say that I’m very disappointed by the alcohol being the centerpiece of the store. Why? And twice now I’ve been asked to move from a line that I choose because I’m not buying ‘alcohol’. Why? Please stop. God bless.

Wegmans is my happy place. The Buzz coffee shop is excellent and fun, and the pizza is one of my favorite pizzas. Wegmans makes me feel better whenever I'm sad.

Very nice store. They have everything and more. I love their prepared food section (we will be there on soccer nights). I just have to get use to the stores layout (but you have to do that with every store). One huge perk and the reason I will make the extra drive to Wegman's - their Gluten Free labeling is awesome and so nice and refreshing. I feel very confident that every product I buy there is GF and I will not get sick.

In my opinion, Wegman's is how a grocery store is supposed to operate. Everything about Wegmans reeks of excellence. Despite it's size, the store is organized and spotlessly

By far, better buffet food than the Chadds Ford Wegmans. Excellent dishes, kept refilled & fresh.

In general love your store and selection....BUT you took the beer and wine sales from its own check out to middle of store..and now I can only check out in 2 lanes, NO!

Since the pandemic she crowds have died down which is good but you now have to wear a mask to be inside the store which is the same with all the stores so I can't really hold it against them in particular. It still seems like a nuisance to me. otherwise I enjoy shopping at Wegmans

Good place to get my 12 pack of Guinness, Soda Bread, Bangers and all the makings of Cornbeef and Cabbage..

I never thought that Wegmans would be so self serving.A two pack of paper towels are now $3.50. It’s more than a 100% mark up from their normal pricing and forget about their 12 pack that was selling for 13.99...They took away a lot of their groceries for beer and wine, bad timing!

Good store. Great new beer and wine section. Inconvenient checkout when no persons are present in the beer and wine area checkout. Was advised to use checkout aisle 9 where i encountered a woman checking out in front of me with with an over filled cart of groceries. Ugh.

Manager refused to honor their own price. Told me I had to buy 12 bottles separately and couldn't have the case price for the product they offer in cases simply because it was a different flavor already taken out of the case, when other managers have honored their own prices for me many times. If I could get my moms special bread anywhere else I would never shop buy anything here again!

My favorite supermarket. I find most of the organic or whole foods-style items I look for. It's close to my home, bright and cheery inside, and staff are always helpful. They make going shopping a good experience.

Good low consistent and fair prices on name brand items and most of there prepare diners in the meat dept.. There fish is always fresh l have been shopping there since the store opened.they give to the community.Loyal customers!

I generally love Wegmans but this one in particular is excellent. It's always very well stocked, the staff is very nice and friendly, and they keep the checkout lines well staffed. They also recently expanded the beer/wine section and added checkout lines that allow for alcohol sales.

Negative five billon to whoever thought it was ok to have an employee follow me and my daughter around the entire store visit . Disgusts me . N I will be addressing it to higher ups

Easy to find and plenty of parking. Excellent variety in the Asian sauce section. They stock Angelo Pietro Salad dressings in the Asian section. Great selection of items in the bakery department. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The checkout was excellent.

Great grocery store with tons of selection for all diet types. Produce is always excellent and they have a great Market Cafe for a quick bite to eat as well. Growing up near Rochester, NY this is the “go-to” grocery store. ;)

Overpriced, overcrowded, unorganized. There's not rhyme or reason to where things are located. Signs to label the meat and produce items are too small and prices are not clearly stated on the shelves. Lines are too long. Worst shopping experience. Only good part is the cafe side which is still overpriced.

Should be way better system for check out. Too confusing if you have alcohol with groceries. Huge live and got here 7 am. In line for check our with 2 bottles of wine for 25 minutes. Maybe quicker if purchase alcohol 1st then regular grocery line. Just horrendous- go to Giant

At risk of public indecency I brought my mask to hide my identity. It had nothing to do with events separating class analogies one too many strategies got some strawberries and cream what we went there to begin with. Well

Went for a pizza. They had zero tickets up but still made me wait almost 30 mins for it. Toppings were scant and the guy with the tattoo on his neck was horrible at customer service. He Definitely did not want to be there dealing with customers. The pizza was weak and the service was too. Won’t be back for pizza again.

Best grocery store. Large selection of produce, fish and meat. Great bakery and premade food.

Buying alcohol here is a mess. Two registers are allowed to sell alcohol but they also are used for grocery checkout. So, if you want just want to buy beer/wine, you might get stuck behind someone with a full cart.

Love!! We shop at Wegmans every week! Love the healthy selections, food bars & fresh produce. This week, due to illness I could not make my weekly visit & used Instacart to shop and deliver our groceries. Thank you Charmaine!! I could get used to this! Matched my selections or asked for approval to substitute. Delivered and done in less than two hours. Great Job!

I love that place. Has great bread and donuts, cookies, candies, meat, dinner. I just like the way they make bakery there, you can actually see the way they make it. Dinner... so many of choices, and meat, fish, cheese so great so many varieties.

My absolute favorite place to grocery shop, and I hate grocery shopping.What store has an entire cold case dedicated to a variety of hummus.The Staff is always so friendly!! We go out of our way, pass 3 other chain grocery stores, to shop here.

Absolutely love wegmans! The employees at this store are absolutely wonderful. The variety and prices are really great too.

Hands down the best grocery store in the area. Excellent selection, great produce and meats selection.

For some reason fruit and vegetables are often past expiration. Example: broccoli is often close to unsellable, strawberries often have multiple bad fruit in pack. Wegmans is a solid corporation and one of the few places that seems to care, but they often seem to miss on this one...Prices are a little high,but you get more than your average grocery store with that added cost. (Except fruit and vegetables).

We placed an order on Tuesday to be picked up Sunday (the earliest time available) between 3 and 4. We arrive at 3 and was told that our order was not ready and that it would be ready around 7 pm and that Wegman’s would call when it was ready. We checked our email at 7:30 and received an email from Wegman’s saying our order was cancelled. We will be shopping elsewhere in the future.

Wegmans is awesome. The best fresh stuff anywhere and lots of strange things to try! LOVE their food bar! Plus wine and gourmet chocolates. What else do you need?

On 11/4/19 I purchased.a salad at the self serve barEverything was fresh clean and neatI also purchased fresh pastry.i enjoyed every bit of my salad. Also a large selection of items to choose from, for my saladI was very pleased! Good price!

Amazing help from customer service and catering

Grocery shopping has became a stressful experience for many people. Yesterday I was at the store at 7AM lined up with a cart ready to run through the store like a crazy person. Instead I was met with a store that was stocked (as stocked as they could be) and ready for madness. It put me at ease to see how organized everything was. One particular person Christina (head of merchandising) was orchestrating the lines, making sure people kept 6 feet of separation at the cash register. And making sure the store's shelves had what everyone needed. Thank you .

As always, I really love my local Wegmans. They have been working hard to keep us all safe. Please don't forget to thank them!

Crowded with rude-boring-self absorbed-better than thou young uns. There not going back to 24 hours. Which is a bummer. The store is ok. Especially if you like cheese! They have cheese everywhere. I'd give another star if they had a better meat dept. Not much choice and a lot of pork. I don't eat pork! Y'all have a good summer. Be careful. ✌

Wegmans are not set for social distancing. They’re not set up like the other stores are. The people way too close and there’s no 6 foot markers anywhere for distancing. The shopping carts have trash inside of them. There was no one wiping down at all. I did not see nobody wiping anything down.I was there today and they were using spic&span spray bottle to disinfect at the self check out.

It's clean, large, has a variety of whatever you like. The largest selection of cheeses and salamis of all thre grocery stores in the area. Best desserts. Also a respectable international section. It's my favorite grocery store around even if it is a little pricey.

I hate grocery shopping. Hands down Wegmans is my favorite grocery store. I look forward to going and browsing all of their aisles. The produce section beats out my other close by chains with no question.
